      • Corning - Pyrex - Desiccators

        Corning – Pyrex – Desiccators

        Product Description

        Component Materials:

Type I Class A – Low-Expansion Borosilicate Glass, per ASTM E438 (Standard Specification for Glasses in Laboratory Apparatus)

        Attributes:

Product Dimensions – 270 mm Flange OD x 107 mm High

        Autoclaving:

This product will withstand repeated standard autoclave cycles of 121°C at 15 psi for 15 minutes. Due to the thick
walls on this product, it is CRITICAL that the heating and cooling cycles bel slow and even.

        Heating/Cooling:

This product should NOT be heated while being used in a vacuum or pressure application as the combination of
thermal and mechanical stresses could cause a failure.

        Vacuum/Pressure:

This product is designed for full vacuum of 760 mm Mercury (15 psi negative pressure).

This product is not designed for and is not rated for pressure applications.

      • Corning - Pyrex - Flask, Florence, Boiling, Flat Bottom, Long Neck, Tooled Mouth

Corning – Pyrex – Flask, Florence, Boiling, Flat Bottom, Long Neck, Tooled Mouth

PYREX® flat bottom boiling flasks have long necks with tooled mouths and take a No. 2 rubber stopper. They are manufactured from No. 7740 borosilicate glass. Wall thicknesses are carefully controlled to provide the proper balance between thermal expansion and mechanical strength for greater shock resistance. Their excellent chemical durability results in contamination-free results and long life under the toughest lab conditions. The normal working temperature for PYREX® boiling flasks is 230°C.

      • Corning - Pyrex - Heavy Wall Filtering Flask, Tubulation, Graduated

Corning – Pyrex – Heavy Wall Filtering Flask, Tubulation, Graduated

These flasks, with tubulation, are blown in special molds, in shapes designed to give maximum mechanical strength. For convenience, the flasks are graduated to show approximate capacity. The neck finish affords an excellent fit for rubber stoppers. Tubulation O.D. on sizes up to 1000 mL is approximately 10 mm. Tubulation O.D. for 2000 mL, and 4000 mL is approximately 12.5 mm.
